How to Make Your KTM 500 or Husqvarna Motorcycles 501 Faster

How to Make Your KTM 500 or Husqvarna Motorcycles 501 Faster

You've finally got your dream KTM 500 or your Husqvarna Motorcycles FE 501! You've done your break-in ride and a few more with your friends, but you've noticed that their 500s are faster. There are a few reasons for this, and you don't have to settle for the factory settings. ***For Off-road use only

The KTM / Husqvarna Motorycles 500s comes very limited regarding its breathing capability, and as you know, the less air coming in, the less power coming out. The KTM 500 is limited in its breathing capability. The reed valve cage in the airbox cuts the orifice size in almost half, and the exhaust gas recirculation system snakes around the engine.

To make your KTM 500 a fire-breathing orange dragon, you need to de-smog it. This means removing the reed cage, vacuum lines, and anything else that's restricting airflow. But the most important thing is still to come!

The most important step, however, is to reflash the ECU. The ECU ( engine control unit) is the computer that controls the engine, and it's programmed to run the engine at a certain level of performance. By reflashing the ECU, you can change the programming and unlock more power and change your KTM 500 into a completely different beast compared to the stock model.

WMR Racing Development can reflash your KTM /Husqvarna Motorcycle 500 ECU. We at WMR can connect to your stock KTM ECU and fully edit/modify the factory mapping. We have a map that will blow your socks off! Added horsepower, smooth power curve, higher RPMs, longer gear ratios, engine braking modification, optimum AFR (air-fuel ratio), and the elimination of the dreaded "flame outs" are the features that our custom map will include with a full flash. And the best feature you can get is that this is your FACTORY ECU, which means you don't have to rely on aftermarket "juice boxes" or "tunes" that sometimes are nothing but snake oil in a box. And if you want to ask a technical question or if you wish to learn more and become more acquainted with your ECU and what it does, we are just a phone call away. You don't have to email the company where you purchased your aftermarket ECU and wait a week for a response. You call and ask for a tuning specialist, and Paul can immediately assist you in getting you on the path to better performance. WMR Provides the highest level of service, so you can enjoy the experience of tuning your bike from the get-go.
